Learn Russian Language in St. Petersburg

ProBa Language Centre offer Russian Language Courses in St. Petersburg - the city which is widely known as the cultural capital of Russia.

When you arrive in St. Petersburg you will enter on one of the most amazing pages in the history of European culture. The majestic architectural ensembles of St. Petersburg stretching along the banks of the wide and deep Neva decorated the diverging rays of its thoroughfares and vistas of its squares. The granite ledges of embankments, metal arrows of drawbridges, imposing silhouettes of churches, places and monuments, as well as museums, theatres and libraries won to the city on the Neva a worldwide renown. The beautiful city was created by joint efforts of outstanding Russian and European architects, engineers, painters, sculptors, scholars and men of letters, actors and musicians, by an energetic and inspired work of all its inhabitants who implemented Peter the Great's dream about the northern capital of new Russia. 73 museums and Galleries are located now in Central part of St. Petersburg.

Saint Petersburg, the city symbolizing Russia's European aspect, ranks with the great capitals of the world. The very name of the city suggests its international character. Unlike the names of other European capitals, it consists of three meaningful words. The Russian version of the name combines elements of different languages: its first part derives from the Latin word for "saint", followed by the Apostle's name. Peter, which means "rock" in Greek, and "burg", a city in German or Dutch. Therefore the name of the young capital implies, in its symbolism, a reference to Tsar Peter the Great and his holy patron, and cultural links with Ancient Greece and Rome, as well as with Germany and Holland.

In an effort to acquaint our students with this magnificent city, ProBa Russian Language Centre offers rich cultural program...   Whatever your reason for studying Russian Language our goal is to make sure that you enjoy your course and stay in St. Petersburg and receive the maximum benefit from your time in Russia.
